How long did it take for your allergies to improve? : Allergies

I’ve been living in Tennessee for the past 2 and 1/2 years. I got tested & found I had allergies for several plants & molds, which would explain my headaches & nasal congestion. Since then I did immunotherapy for over a year, took antihistamines & experiemented with every other treatment option (natural, herbal, & perscribed from my doctor) under the sun. While my medicine takes the sinus headaches away (mostly) my nasal congestion is still very frequent (not to mention driving me crazy). However, my congestion did improve a bit when I got turbinate reduction surgery last spring.

Since Tennessee is frequently listed as one of the top ten worst places to live with allergies, I’m moving to Colorado. Yeah, they got plants there too, but it’s still frequently listed as one of the top ten best places to live with allergies. Tennessee is just so bowl shaped with long, humid growing seasons that the pollen just swirls around constantly. I will be moving in about 2 1/2 weeks from now. I’m wondering if there’s anyone here who also has plant/ mold allergies and moved to an area that’s statistically better. Did your allergies improve? How long did it take? Please provide a detailed response if possible. Including where you started and where you moved from, and other details can make a huge difference.

I know I can get turbinate reduction surgery again if I’m still having nasal congestion. But I really don’t want to spend all that money for it if I don’t have to. I want to see how long I should wait before shelling out the money to ask another allergist about surgery again. Thank you in advance to anyone who responds! This has been a long, difficult, and very expensive process, and I really appreciate anyone who can help!
